Happy Monday, Happy Inspiration Day!                                           Monday March 24, 2014

I always think, Monday starts a new week, it's time to make life this week a good one. I don't know about you, but this winter has been especially hard one. But as my Grandma Margaret used to say, "You catch more bees with sugar than vinegar!"

Springtime is aways a time for renewal and I view this blog setting as my thoughts to share so "follow me" if you'd like to follow along on my adventures and what I've learned about design & life.
On that note, I'm going to post some source of Inspiration that I found somewhere for this week and hope that it inspires you too! I'm sorry I don't remember where I got this from.

By the way, I've been thinking for a while about changing up my blogs a bit so I haven't written in a while. I've finally thinking that this one, is going to be my main one, just because I like the name and had bought the domain name quite a while ago! lol  So, Just like Spring cleaning, I'll be changing things up a bit in between all my different jobs. Look for some new design goodness:) Blessings!

Which one would you pick first?

September is here and that means it's time for  a fun contest. Click & Vote on your favorite & help me choose my updates for my Sara Blaine jewelry samples. October 1st we will debut our new Fall/Winter catalog as well as about 74 Brand NEW designs. As a Representative, we get to order new samples a month before you can order them.

This time Sara has really outdone herself, the designs are spectacular & each piece has unique beautiful stones. I am so excited and want it all! But, more importantly, I want to know what my friends and clients want. SO I've decided that I'm going to have a little fun & have made 3 different photo collages that show 9 of some of the pieces that I like & want you to tell me what your favorite ones are. I'm going to have 3 contests, 1 a week & for those who post the number of their favorite, they will be entered into a drawing & win a surprise from me!

SInce it might be a bit complicated, I originally posted this on my Facebook Business Page,  so thought that I would post  about the contest here, but have you go to my page to vote. Now, don't be like most, as I've had 68 views but only 6 people post there favs, so… please VOTE! That makes it fun for you & me:)

Look of the Week

This week has flown by too quickly! I've been wanting to start a weekly "Look of the Week" post so today I'm going to talk a bit about the wearing organic Jewelry.
Mother of Pearl
Jewelry made from Mother of pearl falls in the group referred to as organic jewelry -- jewelry that originates from a living creature, plant or organism. Mother of Pearl is the common name for iridescent nacre, a blend of minerals that are secreted by oysters and other mollusks and deposited inside their shells, coating and protecting them from parasites and foreign objects. Although pearls are popular today, some past cultures regarded colorful mother of pearl as a more desirable component for jewelry and other objects. People have been creating & wearing jewelry and home accessories for centuries using this naturally found product.

Here is a close up of the inside of an oyster shell &
the iridescent NACRE used to make Mother of Pearl.
Here is the top of an inlaid Mother of Pearl finish for a tile.

Mother of pearl is semi precious and very collectible which also means it can be a bit pricey. That being said, I'm going to now tell you that
Every week we are having a "Designer Deal"
& this week it is the Maya Earrings.
It'a a mother of pearl earring that has been etched with a Rust resin into this beautiful circular flowing motif design and accented with golden Brass metal.

Here is a close up of the Maya Earrings our Designer Deal of the Week.

What is always great about Sara is that she gets that people like different colors and different metals so after I show you the Maya Collection, I'm going to also show you the Calypso collection that is the same design on Mother of Pearl but with a Amazonite resin etching and silver metal accents.

To check out both collections you can go to my website and put the collections' name into the search bar & see the entire lines. Some of both of these lines will be retiring soon, as we will be having a whole new Sara Blaine at Willow House Fall/ Winter Collection debuting October first. SO I encourage you, if you like something to buy it as it may not be around forever & if you are like me, by the time I decide that I want to get something, If i waited it will be gone. I know I'm a pretty picky person and if i like something I should buy it.

Also if you want more than one piece of any of our Sara Blaine Collections, make sure that you contact me so that I can work my VIP Nifty Fifty Customer Pricing. It'a fabulous program that let s you take advantage of simply put, the more you buy, the more you save! Open your Heart & Share your Love!

It's Inspiration Monday …

YES! Open your heart and Share your LOVE!

I need to put this disclaimer out there~ I am a Positivity Junkie. I love to read inspirational messages that have a short, but sweet & sometimes sappy message to them. If they have a visual, I usually upload it to my Inspirational photo file. Plus I follow people who have pages and blogs about this type of thing.

I think what I'm trying to say is that I want a connection to this kind of thing because it makes me feel good and if you take the message that you are looking at and repeat it to your self for the week, it usually has an impact on you and your outlook on life.

Some people call it a Mantra, devotion, meditation or other various words to repeat silently or out loud to yourself. This is thought to have an effect on you on both the conscious and subconscious level.

So find an inspirational message and tell yourself that message this week, then see if it has a positive effect on you!

Mine for this week is: Open your Heart & Share the love!
Profound words put in classic songs by Queen and the Beatles & I'm sure many others too.
Have a great week & I'll be posting soon!

PS. Thanks for the great Artwork: toolbox
Such great messages. Follow Them.
